Hurricane Ike was our uninvited guest!  Unfortunately, our artists
had to leave early due to the strong winds that came our way.
Fortunately, the artists managed to pack up before the worst of the
storm hit.  However, our entertainment group lived up to the adage
"the Show must go on" - they performed without electricity and
never missed a beat!
The River City Dollmakers Club brought 12 artisans to show off their
beautiful doll creations.  One of the dolls  won the BEST of SHOW
Ribbon at this years Ohio State Fair for Handmade dolls!!!   Featured
entertainment for the September Second Sunday Stroll was a group
from Columbus Ohio known as 'Mixed Bag' and the 'Times Past
Vintage Dancers'.  Mixed Bag derived their name from the variety of
unusual instruments they use to present European music.  The
Times Past Dancers performed regency dances from 1803 in period
costumes.    Waynesville's streets were alive with hooped skirts and
parasols as they perform in full period costumes.
